For Datum Electronics we were hired to install or service several Marine Shaft Power Systems. The Marine Shaft Power Meter Systems were developed to provide ongoing power monitoring data on propulsion shafts, thrusters & diesel generators, and are commonly used for fuel economy and equipment maintenance planning programs.

The Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) and the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) requirements were made legally binding by the MARPOL Annex VI, the first climate change treaty to be adopted since the Kyoto Protocol.
